Nice to get out and see everyone at today's Sketch outing. This was my first time at the Starbucks Roastery & Tasting Room. When the place first opened, I saw the line around the block and then forgot about it. I thought I was a Starbucks snob, until I saw this. I think I may be old school. This is some serious coffee. But there is an odd sort of Hollywood-not-Seattle feel. I can't put my finger on it...the tourists? the shiny objects? the airbrush tans? I'll have to go back to figure it out....
When Greg and I went right after it first opened, he said it felt like we were in NYC, and the baristas had better haircuts than at other Starbucks. ;-) Great sketch, Jackie -- you captured the buzz in there.
