Monthly Outing!

Sunday, July 15:  Bellevue Botanical Garden

12001 Main Street, Bellevue, WA 98005

July's outing will be at the Bellevue Botanical Garden.  If you haven't been there in a few years, there has been some renovation.  We'll meet at 10 am outside the new(ish) visitor's center, on the parking lot side.

Trail Map

There are rest rooms and free parking at the garden.  There is also a cafe, where we may have lunch after our outing.  Admission is free.

As in any garden, they write on the webpage:  "Please be considerate of our many visitors by keeping pathways clear and protect the Garden by staying out of planting beds. You arewelcome to walk on the lawns; please do not climb on the rocks or in the trees!"  Also,"no pets are allowed anywhere in the garden - service animals only are permitted".

Plan Ahead for Summer!

To make the most of our all-too-brief summer, USk Seattle will be organizing more frequent sketch outings from June through August – we’re shooting for one per week! In general, the monthly Sunday outings will stick with the usual third Sunday (except to avoid conflicting with Father’s Day). Some of the second-and-fourth-Friday outings will switch to Saturdays to enable more sketchers to participate. Upcoming outings:

July 15 (Sun), 20 (Fri), 27 (Fri)
Aug. 3 (Fri), 11 (Sat), 19 (Sun), 24 (Fri), 31 (Fri)

Outing locations and other details will be announced as soon as possible here or on the ad hoc outings page

  1. Do you have any info on parking availability near King St Station? I understand there is a big auto show at Century Link field that weekend, so that lot will probably be full.
