My premixed ink washes sat in the sun while I drew the contours. When I applied the hot ink, the pigment separated into little flakes, and when applied to the paper, dried instantly, allowing for none of my usual feathering with clear water. Next time I'll leave the ink washes in my bag until I'm ready for them.
