Seattle Center Monorail
Seattle's monorail system celebrated its 50th anniversary on March 24th. I sketched the red train while it was parked and people walked through it to observe historical photographs displayed inside. The trains are looking great after all the hard work that has been put into restoring them. Here's to another 50 years!

What a great sketch: the monorail in all its futuristic, 'art deco-ish' glory. I would have enjoyed seeing the exhibit- I remember being at the fair as a kid 50 years ago. A bit humbling to realize it's been so long.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding sketch Michael.
