Coffee House Culture

Instead of watching the Seahawks play the Bears,  we had a pretty good size group of us sketching at coffee houses on the Pike Pine corridor.  It was a nice way to spend the morning and from the looks of it was probably the better choice.  Here are two sketches I did.

  1. Gail, I like how the first one has a sense of rushing. Often, that's how I feel when I stop for coffee. And the second one is so leisurely.

  2. I really like the diagonal interest this sketch has - the foreground patron, sketchers at the window, the portrait and Frank? very cool!

  3. Seeing the lines in these make me think I want to just sit and watch your process one of these times. Very cool results, as always.

  4. Thanks for comments. The one at Bauhaus was more leisurely...I was sitting there talking to Olivia and drawing. That slowed me down. The second at Victrola...I was just drawing and finding convergent lines and trying to capture the light and shadows...
