Heading for Green Lake on a warm and sunny Saturday
afternoon can be an exercise in frustration if you’re not into competitive
parking or walking as a contact sport. I knew it would be crowded, but I hadn’t
anticipated all the shelters and folding chairs lined up on the lake’s south
shore. The additional crowds today were rooting for their favorite paddlers
competing in the Ted Houk Regatta, sponsored by the Seattle Canoe and
Kayak Club.
The crane on the right side of the horizon is the same one I sketched a few weeks ago on the north side of the lake.
I like Greenlake in blue!
