This drawing is kind of a departure for me, in several ways. While I was drawing it, unusually languid and blasé about the results, an elderly man shyly asked if I was "our Seattle Sketcher." I said, "I'm one of them, but if you mean Gabi Campanario, no. Though I consider him a friend."
Steve, another phenomenal sketch! After our chat at Suzzallo, you inspired me to try walnut ink. Mine arrived today from Daniel Smith!!

ReplyDeleteSteve! I really like the use of color in this sketch, which you say is a departure for you. The colors are subtle they don't shout and they perfectly compliment your drawing.
