Sketches from Bellingham and Fairhaven, WA

This Friday and Sunday we drove up to Bellingham to move our son up to Western Washington University in Bellingham. It is such a beautiful location. I didn't have much time to sketch but was able to catch a quick one each about 15 min. sketch. One was at Tony's Coffee in Fairhaven. The other was at Woods Coffee in Bellingham.

    I've always liked the 'old-timey-ness' of Fairhaven. It's been some time since I've been there but I remember always liking eating there. Your sketches make the cafes inviting.

    Both places really have that Port Townsend character. Kind of artsy too. I plan on trying to get more sketches there and of Western as we go up for visits!

    You really captured the shadow from the light through the windows cast on the wall at Tony's.
