I
was very excited to see everyone's work at the Edmonds show last weekend. While
I did not have a piece in the show, the event was a great opportunity to sketch
in Edmonds. I wandered down 4th street and found the Edmonds Center for the
Arts. The building is a wonderful art deco remnant from the 1930s. The building
formerly served as the Edmonds High School until 1957 and the junior high until
1975.

Rainier Club Interiors
Had the opportunity to go to the Rainier Club for a fundraiser dinner tonight. So I just had to sketch something while I was there. Just before we left I sat down to sketch the columns in the lobby. The interiors are Art Deco and it was designed by Charles F. Gould in 1929.
