Column from main Entrance at Sakya Tibetan Buddism Monastery, Seattle

During a summer afternoon right after lunch during 2008 I began to draw this column which is supporting the roof of the main entrance to the Sakya Monastery.  It is amazing to see the amount of detail in just one column.  It is also amazing how functional it is by supporting a roof that protects people from the rain and the summer sun.
