Sunny day in Fremont

Great weather we've been having lately. Spring's coming very early this year and it was nice to sneak away from the yard work for a little sketching. I think when I got back the grass had grown another inch.

In my excitement at (finally) not having to hold an umbrella whilst drawing, I think I might have gotten a bit overambitious. Truss bridges don't lend themselves to quick sketches.

Everybody's favorite Bolshevik. I hear that Lenin invented the phrase, "Let's do lunch." I love what one can learn on the internet.

At least the weather was nice for these intrepid souls. Some day Seattle will have a transit system, they will reach their destinations, and we'll need another sculpture. But I'm not holding my breath...
See you next month!

  1. inspired and inspiring as always, Tim! thanks for sharing these!

  2. My favorite is the Lenin statue. He emerges from the shadows. Great sketches!

  3. Great series and always enjoy the narration!

  4. woah, you really got in Lenin's face, terrific closeup! ... i wonder why he looks so angry, it must be all the capitalism around him ;)
