Gingerbread Village

Last Friday was so fun to join the Friday sketchers at the Sheraton's annual Gingerbread Village in downtown Seattle. Sat up close to this amazing confectionary creation with my friend Beanne, feeling hungry looking at all the glittering candy...great way to ring in the season!

    Love the quality of light in this. It kind of emerges from the darkness.

    Stephanie! What a great sketch! Sure would make a perfect Christmas card. Most of the time, these sketches from the gingerbread display don't translate well, but somehow, you have made it a magical reality of wonder and awe!!

      Thanks, Peggy--It helped to get really close up...it was right in front of my nose, making me hungry too!
